It is surprising that Trump, with all his negatives, senses the limits of Empire.

Whilst the "erudites" are still in la-la-land.

Anthony Scaramucci Predicts 20+ Senate Republicans Are About To Turn On Trump

The former White House communications director said the president knows “the future does not look good for him.”

This guy is a huge bullshitter, but I sure want to believe him on this.

Oh? He pledged to throw the Kurds to the wolves, free Isis to rise again, and hand Syria to Putin? A vague pledge is a piss poor excuse for all that. And grassroots support, to whatever degree it may exist at any time, does not make bad good.

I suppose you're dumb enough to believe this bullshit, too.

“He wasn’t tough enough,” Trump seethed about Mattis. “I captured ISIS. Mattis said it would take two years. I captured them in one month.”

Reveling in ignorance seems a bit counterproductive, don't you think?

We've made it to the "so what" part of the rationalized nondefense admission of the quid pro quo.

Ignorance about limits?

Trump even before winning has been projecting the picture of the US overextention.

I noticed the Kurds have adjusted.

Syria belongs to Syrians. Putin will have to learn that too or face the wrath of his domestic audience.

The effort to dislodge Assad has failed. The main American mission is over.

Mitt Romney:

“Are we so weak and inept diplomatically that Turkey forced the hand of the United States of America? Turkey!? I believe that it’s imperative that public hearings are held to answer these questions, and I hope the Senate is able to conduct those hearings next week.”
