Natures way of regeneration. the large oak across the street was felled with the last big wind it had died and rotted inside and nature comes along like the reapper to dispence of it.it also happens on the plains when lightning sparks a massive grass fire, and next spring that area is so green you would never know a fire had been there.I think it is cool the way nature can heal the planet without mans help.same for the human body it is the most resiliant piece of biology I know of..

I hate to say I'm glad I live where I do, only occasional tornados.

Sunny all day in the 80's. Was dry enough I could cut up the tree that fell Saturday in the Hail storm. Full of poison ivy hope I got it all washed off. We do have rain chances the four days.

Hi Barney,
We have a bunch of 50 year old long needle firs trees here in the complex but the damn Western Bark Beetles are trying their best to girdle them and kill 'em off. Goddamn drought is making it easier too.
I'm wishing we had central A/C right about now.

I was able to go about a month without heat and AC this year. Thursday last was the first day the AC was on. Been watching the weather out your way. You under water restrictions yet?
The tree that came down was dead in the woods. Poison Ivy covered, don't know if the ivy killed it for sure. Fell into the side garden over my white asparagus patch. So it needed to be cleaned up quick.

Voluntary H2O restrictions so far. We may get a reprieve this coming winter with the signs pointing towards an El Nino but it's getting bleak. Every reservoir out here is down to mud almost and I'm sure that not a drop of the mighty Colorado is entering Mexico. We're killing the Sea of Cortez down there, one of the most prolific hatcheries/fisheries on the west coast.

Yup. Ice cold Newcastle Brown Ale and some of my favorite medicine, puff/puff and I'm about ready to take a nap. Got some Moody Blues 'Threshold Of A Dream' playin' thru those Maggotboxes and JBLs right now.
Keep an eye on the sky over there in Misery Ed.
