Actually, I had no idea what movie it came from and now that you told me I still have no reference point. I very seldom watch any movies. Reality (as provided by all the news sources) is entertaining enough.

Are you shitin me?

I never carried a weapon in Vietnam.

I was an REMF medic.

There was only one Dude in my whole squadron that had a weapon.

That was my buddy Ralph, another REMF Medic.

One day he was helping load an Army dude with a million dollar wound onto the Med-Evac bird back to the world and the Dude slipped him his .45.

The Dude has snuck it into the Hospital, but now that he was going home he was afraid that if he got caught with it, they wouldn't let him go.

OK, here's my answer.

As long as the old boy can bench press at least 1/2 his body weight he can pack heat. When he can't, turn em into Soylent Green.

Her is my answer - get stuffed. Having a bad arm I could never bench press half my body weight but I can still handle a pistol well enough to give you dancing lessons.

So we're going to use one arbitrary examination of pseudo-masculinity to rationalize inclusive rapture into another?

Nice Soylent Green reference.

Any idiot with enough muscle can bench press 200 lbs or more. You don't need a brain at all to be a musclehead. That goes on every day and it has absolutely NOTHING has nothing to do with anything. Nor does ones military activities 40+ years ago. With age, most individuals faculties degrade. Maybe yours haven't? FINE.

Stop shittin' your pants. I don't want to take your toys.

All of us Vietnam Vets are highly proficient with firearms.

Yep, John Allen Muhammad, an Army vet, was indeed an accurate shot who earned the Expert Rifleman's Badge. He's was also the DC sniper.

Yeah, but Pat.....

You should know by now, that if it's a veteran he can do no wrong. And, if you question the sacred cow, it's only because you have no respect and therefore........hate America.

I'm a veteran, I come from a family full of veterans and I think that mentality is as dumb as a day is long.
