Typo. 2016, at least. But it’s just beginning, and the other news (guilty plea) is possibly even more significant, with direct ties to this corrupt administration.

But the special prosector accused Manafort of trying to hide payments associated with his work in Ukraine from around 2006 to 2016, undercutting Trump's claim the charges stemmed from actions that only occurred "years ago."

Many believe Mueller could use the charges to try and pry information from Manafort about whether the campaign colluded with Russia to meddle in the 2016 election.

Damn! A brownstone in Brooklyn's ordinary Carroll Gardens cost that much...$3 mil.
What the hell they did to Carroll Gardens?

Time to cut off the Oligarchs' inflow. I do not believe Dems or the Repubs want to seriously address that issue.

Just a little dose of reality:

The charges do not cover any activities related to the campaign, though it's possible Mueller could add additional charges.

http://www.cnn.com/2017/10/30/politi...der/index.html

These charges go back to 2012, prior to Manafort's association with the Trump campaign. So, still looking for the "collusion".

Now, please return to your celebrations.
From the indictment:

Between in or around 2008 and 2017, both dates being approximate and inclusive, in the District of Columbia and elsewhere, MANAFORT and GATES devised and intended to devise, and executed and attempted to execute, a scheme and artifice to defraud, and to obtain money and property by means of false and fraudulent pretenses, representations, and promises from the United States, banks, and other financial institutions.

Ah, so 2017 it is. Stories this morning have had 2016 and 2017, but it’s officially 2017. Donny, you’re lying again (and only idiots like Whell believe you).

Right, so what does that have to do with Trump campaign collusion with the Russians? Nothing?

During the campaign, he was actively laundering Russian/Ukrainian money while lobbying on their behalf and working to (and succeeding) in changing the GOP platform to benefit Russia. As for collusion, the affidavit supporting the Papadapoulos guilty plea shows collusion and the fact that he was coordinating said collusion with campaign higher-ups.

Are you still clinging to the notion that Trump and his minions are honest and ethical?

George Papadopoulos pleads guilty to lying to FBI.

Yet another of Donny’s “good people”.

Preet Bharara
@PreetBharara
Special Counsel Mueller appears to have a cooperating witness, George Papadopoulos. That is significant. Time will tell how significant.

Direct relationship to the Trump campaign. Lied after the inauguration.

One of President Trump's former campaign advisers has pleaded guilty to lying to FBI agents investigating allegations of collusion between the Trump presidential campaign and the Russian government, the Department of Justice (DOJ) said Monday .

George Papadopolous, the 30-year-old foreign policy adviser, pleaded guilty earlier this month, according to court filings unsealed on Monday. The DOJ unsealed the documents shortly after it announced charges against two other higher-ranking, Trump campaign officials — Paul Manafort and Rick Gates.

Prosecutors charged Papadopolous with lying to investigators about his conversations with a foreign professor who told him that Russians had thousands of emails containing "dirt" on Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

He also allegedly lied about his contact with a Russian woman who the Justice Department says he pressured "in an effort to arrange a meeting between the campaign and Russian government officials."

The Trump aide allegedly told the FBI that those conversations happened before he joined the campaign, statements rebutted by the Justice Department's timeline.

The revelation is the clearest yet tying the Trump campaign to Russia's effort to interfere in the 2016 election. The charges stemmed from Justice Department special counsel Robert Mueller.
