I've heard and read about some of the nutcases that wish Obama harm. Still, its not as wide - spread as what developed under George W. Maybe its fermented under Bush just because he was around for 8 years, and Obama's not been around that long? Don't know.
Maybe it's because you're in Michigan and I'm in Virginia, but your statement seems 180 degrees out to me. These people practically worshipped GWB.....I once had my life threatened for saying something positive about Obama. And all it was was a comment on his speech making abilities. The difference between cultures, I guess.

But, I will say that the anti-Bush protests seemed tiny, and mostly took place in foreign countries, in comparison to what has been going on since BHO took office. Me thinks there is scant comparison.

I live in the north and anti-Bushness was rampant. No real difference, except that people were right to hate Bush

John, who you callin' racist boy?

People hated Bush for what he did. Those who hate Obama do so for what he is.

You can't really mean that. The number of threats to the President spiked to historic levels the minute Obama was sworn in and haven't abated. Actually, they began when Obama was a candidate.

That is a prejudical statement, with no basis in proof. Talk about a wide brush!

No basis in proof?? The proof is everywhere and has been discussed on this board ad nauseum.

Frankly, Pete, as long as you flaunt a sig. line like yours, you have no credibility on this issue at all. Sorry, but that's a fact.

This is a blatant lie.Right out of the Carl Rove book of politics. Just look them in the eye and lie. Over and over again.

I admit it. I'm as racist as they come, otherwise I would be showering Obama with rose pedals and singing praises about his programs.

If you don't like the sig, tough. I think it's funny. Unless you think their problems are our fault too.

Pete

PS painting your opponents as racist isn't right out of Roves playbook?

I'm not saying you personally are a racist. Frankly, I don't know whether you are or not. What I do know is that your signature expresses sentiments that can easily - pretty much only - be interpreted as racist. As long as you chose to display it as a part of your "persona" here it calls your own attitude toward race into question. That undermines your credibility on the issue.

It's a little like wearing a swastika armband and wondering why people suspect you might be a Nazi.

Clearer now?

John
