Wait. I thought we passed the Affordable Care Act? All this was supposed to have been fixed in 2014.

Actually, no. Anyone paying the least bit of attention knows that the Heritage Foundation plan, aka the PPACA, was but the first step towards 'single payer', Mike.

I don't know how you missed that other than you've had those blinders screwed down pretty tight.

The republicans won didn't they? They did everything they could to deep six the health care plan because all they have is hate for their fellow americans. Republicans think it's funny to watch sick people die. So this is the health care plan we ended up with...instead of universal health care, something nobody likes. The republican won that one.

It occurs to me that republicans seem to view black, Mexican, LGBT, Muslims and poor people in the same light as Nazi Germans once viewed Jewish people. We must be vigilant that it goes no further.

I had a good friend of mine who got pancreatic cancer. They operated on him at Duke University. He had no insurance at all.

The hospital complex in Greensboro that controls almost everything in at least 5 cities has a plaque on their wall that says they will not turn anybody away regardless of their ability to pay.

Just curious how many people you know personally who have died because they couldn't get health care ?
