Finn is gonna argue that their dalliance will leave them vulnerable to blackmail and other coercion that would threaten our national security. Ehhhh...I dunno. Nobody in the corporate boardrooms seems to be worrying about blackmail or coercion...they keep boinking the administrative assistants like there's no tomorrow. And I depend on them for a lot of my financial security these days. What scares me more? My compromised national security or my compromised financial security? The latter, I'm sure. And if we weren't such a nation of tight ass quasi-puritans we wouldn't give a shit about blackmail or coercion.

Some French politician gets caught having a fling and it's just another day at the office.

It comes down to trust, if a person isn't trustworthy in their most personal relationship, how can they be trusted otherwise.

Oversimplification.

What we have here is a State University student assigned as an intern as part of her education to an elected government official, volunteering her services. It's a matter of public trust and if violating this means nothing to you, you should consider becoming a libertarian. One can claim that the woman in question was a willing participant. Even so the man should have known better under the circumstances.

As to CEO's boinking administrative assistants, that is a private matter.

I really don't think somebody's personal life is any of my business. If they're doing something illegal or unethical (and I just don't believe that being "Client 9" is unethical), that can be a problem. But sending gross selfies over the internet...I got actual important stuff to worry about.

If it weren't so, it wouldn't have been one of the primary methodologies of Soviet agents trying to compromise Western officials. Would I prefer that we had the public morals of the French? Sure. But we don't (nor does my wife).

I'd vote for Spitzer for President. He's the one...actually the only one who took on the shyster banksters, when nobody else had the stones. He was Wall St's worst nightmare...and he could be again if the people of this country weren't so phony pious.
See post #9 Ike. He's a bible thumpin', family values, anti-gay hypocrite.

I saw post 9 bob. He's a state legislator from some shithole in Missouri. Who cares If he's a bible thumping, family values, gay bashing hypocrite. Its a distraction. Eveybody knows these hypocrites are out there. Frankly, every time somebody rolls over a rock and finds one of these bugs underneath it...I don't need to be reminded anymore.
