How About A MR2 & Miata Forum For Our Left Hand Drive Members...?

Just a thought.

We could start knuckle-draggers forum where all of the tea-baggers could agree with each other that everything is awful. Probably could invite the ditto-heads too.

Regards,

D-Ray

Nah too gay. Unless they are pink Miata. Then I know just who to moderate it

My MR2 won E Stock at our local event yesterday. I was a second and a half ahead of my buddy Tom, also in an MR2! My wife came out and drove too- we had a blast and she picked up six seconds first run to fourth! Trying to get her hooked so when I have to spend a grand on tires she doesn't get all mad at me.

From what I understand, racing tires don't last too long. The locals tell me that it's nothing to run through $400 worth of tires a weekend at Peckerwood's Speedway, and that's without getting sideswiped and the sidewalls cut out.

Dirt track, too.

Road Racers go through expensive tires like crazy. Too rich for my blood. I can get a season and a half out of a set of autocross tires. And the 14s for my MR2 aren't as expensive as the big ones for some of the Corvettes and such. Still, $800 is a hunk of change. But if you think about it as cost per run it's not too bad.

I've got five vehicles and five trailers. 34 tires total. I run Hankooks, about all I can afford. They're not bad, hold up as well as the average Goodyear. Ain't Michelin by a long shot.

Neighbor has a Vette. He was telling me what things cost for it. And I thought a boat was expensive.
