Beer thread.

We were talking beer a while back and I can't find it.

Christmas time! (Time for Christmas ales anyway)

I think I mentioned drinking an entire 6 of Great Lakes Christmas Ale.

Long and short, it was a mistake. Amazing. I've since spoken to a bartender who said 'When the kegs of that came in our regular drunks turned into zombies' lol.

It's GREAT though. Moderation.

Yesterday I had some of Goose Islands' Mild Winter. I like their 'Bittah' (Honkers' Ale), and this ranks right up there but with just a little 'Christmas' flavor. I really like this stuff for the season anyway. 7 thumbs up.

Pete

Our local brew. Apparently, really good stuff. (I don't drink.) If memory serves, I think they're in the process of opening a brewery in the Midwest.

Grabbed myself a six of New Belgiums "Snow Day".................

It's alright, but their best is still "Fat Tire", IMHO.

I've written Great Lakes a few times about marketing down here, all I get is, "We're workin' on it."

I'm sure that IPA guys will find Sierra Nevada's Celebration Ale to their liking.

Good stuff. I think I prefer their year-round offering, Torpedo. That said, all of Sierra Nevada's beers are very good.

Tried Guinness Generous Ale. It seems to be more based on their Black Lager (which I really don't like), but it was gooder-er.

Not bad....
