...because Repubes are pretty much extinct in statewide leadership here. Still plenty of Red areas, but they’re mostly rural, with low population density.

I have a pretty checkered past and lived a pretty wild youth. I am pretty sure I have put worse products and products of a more dubious origin than a CV vaccine into my body on several occasions. I am sure there are many in my boat and it is pretty hypocritical to have a past like that, then refuse a vaccine because of possible future unknown side effects.

The possible side effects stuff is just rationalization. They are refusing them because 'this is what you do if you belong to my tribe.'

I wish those anti vax'ers would remember why they never got polio, diphtheria and a few other things.
They had parents who were smart enough to vaccinate them when they were children.

My nephew's place of employment has required all of their workers to be vaccinated. I think that is a good thing. I hope more employers do the same.

We are encouraging everyone to get vaccinated by offering time off, gift cards and "EndCovid" T-shirts. Will wait till end of May to get a feel for compliance.

A private school in the fashionable Design District of Miami sent its faculty and staff a letter last week about getting vaccinated against Covid-19.

One of the school's co-founders (Leila Centner) is an anti-vaxxer.

“Even among our own population, we have at least three women with menstrual cycles impacted after having spent time with a vaccinated person,” she wrote, repeating a false claim that vaccinated people can somehow pass the vaccine to others and thereby affect their reproductive systems.

The same misguided mentality believes in contrails being poisoned by the government effecting our health. To only then refute the scientifically proven effects to our environment caused by the use of fossil fuels.....

The same people, some of 'em anyway, believe "big brother" wants to implant them with microchips in vaccine doses yet upload selfies taken on cell phones from inside the Capitol during a riot.
