Freedom is a total illusion.

The wealthy have greater degrees of freedom than the poor, but their freedom has limitations built in as well.

This is why I can't get on-board the BLM movement.

There is no freedom. If anyone wants to die in a revolution seeking their own freedom, they will die for no reason.

""Your Liberty To Swing Your Fist Ends Just Where My Nose Begins""

Seems to be applicable in the discussion.

Very arrogant and yes selfish to consider wearing a mask to protect others matters little enough to do so. Your comfort is tantamount, the only thing that rally matters. Willing to harm others for your comfort.

Now this country does have real hero's, those who sacrifice willingly. Just not enough.

It's actually not about my "comfort". That's my point. It is more "comfortable" to just "do what I'm told". Seriously.

So, Not Insane, do any of your principles include care or concern for others?

Regards,

Yep. The difference between me and the Karens that think everyone should wear masks is that we just draw the line at a different place.

If I find myself in a nursing home, I'll definitely wear a mask.

To be blunt, I see the Karens as a bunch of Mr. Monks that think those of us that just shake hands without using wipes are a blight on the safety of the human race.

Mr. Monk has an opinion, but thank God we all don't have to abide by it. And it doesn't mean we don't care about others. It means we draw the line at a different place. And don't think that wearing masks doesn't impact our culture in a very real way. It has a cost. I think that cost is too high. Not for me, but for my culture.

Tell me more of this culture of which you speak, and why a law saying you must wear a mask threatens it. Does a law saying you must have a catalytic converter on your car also threaten it? Why or why not?
