Theory? Well..currently there hasn't been a budget put in place. Until that
happens, what you seen will happen again in some form, until the government
decides to stop piddling around with short term arrangements.

However, what happened to all of the demands the Tea Party contingent issued at the outset of this debacle? Obamacare emerged intact, with no cuts in funding.

Did the TP gain anything at all from this bizarre act of Quixotic futility?

Did the President or his party lose anything at all?

The answer to both questions is "no.".

So, what do you make of that?

How's that fake scandal over the murder of the ambassador in Benghazi working for you? Find any evidence, yet?

Well, the Senate has passed one but Boehner and the 'bagger caucus have refused to go to conference 18 times so far. Sounds like a conservative problem to me.

*Chuckle* Don't misinterpret my response. I've been in far more aggressive
places than this, since I started posting on political forums about 10 years
ago. While I might have walked away from some of those engagements battered,
my constitution is much better than you perceive it to be.

What does that have to do with my personal whereabouts?

So where did I suggest either side gained anything?

Ideology is irrelevant to my earlier post. The fact is the agreement that was reached is only a temporary fix.
The same problem will rear its head again early next year.

Well, they let Cruz run for three downs and couldn't move the chains...and were forced to punt.

And once the Donks had the ball they decided to run out the clock...in the 1st half. And head to the locker room while retaining their lead.

Now we're beginning the second half. The Donks are committed to running with their PPACA offense, while the Repukes have moved Cruz to the middle linebacker slot.

This is not the critical game. We're talking about the 2014 rematch, where the Donks in the senate currently have app 20 on injured reserve, while the Repukes have only app 13.

What is important at this point is to see how many people can get healthy enough in 2014 to field for the great rematch in 2016.

And the winner gets the trophy. And we get to pay for it.

And once that is over, we all can piss and moan and bitch and groan until next season.

And we get to pay for that one as well.

Chas

That's democracy, Chas. If we can call it that anymore in light of the activist Robert's court decision to let any and all comers into the political process. Money is speech.
