First Robot Citizen

Saudi Arabia has conferred citizen status on the robot 'Sophia.' Obnviously this is just a commercial PR move, but the day will soon come when 'Sophias' are a lot harder to tell from people. If they give the right cues people will treat them like people.

Look, the Republicans have new voters! They'll work 24/7/365 for free and do whatever you program them too without questioning a thing.

It is nearly impossible to immigrate and get a citizenship in Saudi Arabia IIRC.
So this is a way to manufacture morally pure citizens as prescribed by the Koran since they can be programmed at the source. Question is, is Sophia allowed to drive legally now that women can drive there. The rest I will leave it up to our imagination.

The babies probably realize the religious whack-nuttery they've been born into and commit suicide.
