all in all, this was an absolutely brilliant world cup

espn presented this impeccably and the games were wonderful

the build up to the games, the daily pre game and post game, the nightly replays all were totally inspired

improvement could be had to two areas

1 fifa needs to embrace technology, off side calls and fouls are still pot luck affairs.

2 us soccer needs to insist that espn use announcers who are american. they keep the game foreign by their announcer choices.

While perhaps true, a couple of the Brits cracked me up. It was indeed a great and memorable World Cup, though the two most memorable things are Suarez's bite and Brazil's blow-out of historic proportions.
