Next up, another Sean Connery flick.
Rudyard Kipling's, 'The Man Who Would Be King'.

The November Man: Pierce Brosnan
Ex CIA operative unravels a convoluted plot to control a Russian presidential
candidate.
Lots of action and beautiful urban scenes of Serbia and Montenegro.

Okay, I just stumbled on a site while looking for an obscure movie. The site is called "Best Netflix Movies 2015 and, as far as I can tell, it has absolutely nothing to do with the real Netflix. The web interface is pretty sophisticated but some of the text makes it clear that it's an overseas site and they have films from all over the world in a variety of languages and subtitles. You have to register but the movies (and registration?) are apparently free.
It REALLY looks interesting but their use of the name Netflix puts me off. (They don't claim to be Netflix but an alternative to it.) I have visions of all sorts of nasties burrowing into my computer if I click on anything.
Has anyone else ever heard of this? I can't find any information about it online if you google "Best Netflix Movies 2015" and, if you do a Google search for the URL, the site shows up but no other information about it from anyone.
It may be a Danish site. There are 3 different language interfaces marked with the Danish flag, the US flag and the Canadian flag (also in English).

Never heard of it, but its use of the word "Netflix" is intimidating. A fear of
nasties also.

That kid from the 'Day After Tomorrow' sure has turned into a fine actor. His sister is no slouch either.

Mr. Turner...
Great reviews...great performances they said. It appeared to be an excellent film. I'm sure we would have enjoyed it immensely if we had been able to understand what any of the actors were saying. Particularly Timothy Spall, who played...Mr. Turner.
But there was no "English for the hearing impaired." choice in the dvd audio menu, so we were forced to give up around 20 minutes in. Had we spent 20 or 30 bucks to see it in a theater we would have been pretty pissed off at Mike Leigh.

I think I'll binge watch Star Trek: TNG until AK comes back up on Sunday.

I'd like to see that. Turner is perhaps the most revolutionary painter of all times. I love his work, had a chance to see several in the Met collection in NYC.
I like Timothy Spall too.

I'm not sure whether these should go in the music thread or here, but yesterday, we watched the DVD of Roy Orbison's Blacck & White night. It was a 1987 concert in which he was joined by Jackson Brown, Bruce Springsteen, T-Bone Walker, Bonnie Raitt, k.d. lang and others.
We also watched on Netflix last night a documentary about the music scene, particularly the R&B music scene, in the little southern town of Muscle Shoals, Alabama. It was a trip to see a bunch of southern boys backing up Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett, and Etta James. These guys, who looked like they would be more comfortable behind a tractor than a guitar, hold stacks of gold records.
Regards,
D-Ray
