Adcom GF 535 in the house

driving it with my Music Angel pre.....which has no tone controls. The bass output of the Adcom is impressive.

That is a sweet sounding amp.

I sold mine several years ago, but I have always remember it with
some nostalgia.

I've heard good things about those amps. Pair of GFA555s here.

How do you have those configured?

I ran mine bridged, one on each side, bi-wired to the respective speaker.

Or, you can bi-amp.

I've tried both ways and I'm not sure I can really hear a tremendous difference. Right now I have one running the Vandie's in front and the other running those JBL L100t3's for rear/side.

I have a pair of 535s that serve as backups and loaners, they are presently with an elderly a'phile in Atlanta backing up his mancave/bedroom McIntosh tube rig and subbing for malfunctioning Altec rack amps in the music parlor system.
I have a couple threads on these Mac reno projects in the AK McIntosh forum.

The soundstage is pretty impressive.....I was worried since it was old it would not work but I played it for about 3 hours yesterday. I have some Mirages hooked up to it but maybe I will switch to some Snells or bring the the B&Ws I have at work back home and try them.
