I think corporate ownership of Congress is a bi-partisan concern - at least here among the proletariat.

I will say one thing about healthcare, somewhere a forest just died. Saw the bone man and he says if there is no pain then let it heal by itslf. But I still had to fill out three pages of uselass information. They scan all my insurance cards but still make me write down that same information. Maybe that is why Canada has so many trees, they don't bother you with all that crap.
Funny thing is that all use the same Robocall to remind you about your appointments so why can't they send me the same forms electronically?

You should've seen my wifes face when we received the forms back from my GP for temp. disability. He cleared me to go back to work less than ten days after surgery for a torn rotator cuff. She frog marched my ass right into his office and layed into him. Hell, I don't even start physical therapy until the 30th! I just sat there with a smug but idiotic grin on my face as she straightened him and his staff out. She's a force of nature, I tell ya.

The only reason I got looked after in the ER was Florence bugging them, they should call them Waiting Rooms, not Emergency Rooms. At least the orthopedic doctor I saw today said , and change, any pain, call me. Blew over half a tank of gas with all the running around.

You just need to know how to navigate the health care system better. Never, ever just walk into an emergency room. Have a doctor call ahead, or call the emergency room and let them know your situation. Depending on how critical it is and how busy they are, they can advise you to wait and come in an hour or come right away or whatever. Also, that contact establishes you with the staff even before you get there and they (usually) are more responsive. If you don't feel to guilty about the cost to the insurance company you can call an ambulance and you go right in. My last resort, and the most effective, guaranteed to have you on a gurney in minutes, say you are having chest pains.

Funny how our spouses are pitbulls when it comes to our care. Probably cause they are tired of hearing us grumble and groan in private. Why is it the male of the species is so gawd damn hardheaded? Must be all of those cowboy movies we were raised on.
Florence sounds like a gem Rob. I know my Patty is.

Hey everybody! I finally got some great news! My short term disability check, for the surgery I had on March the 19th, is finally on it's way......A week AFTER I returned to work!
Wow, the efficiency is breathtaking....................
