I think I've got most of it - is there an English translation?

I doubt it; I've been living in Scotland for almost 30 years. All I can understand is the first 2 lines. The 3rd I can almost get but I think line 4 is an invention of Merrylanders.

Welcome, it just happens that Rabbie Burns is one of my favourite poets, so "translating" him comes easy.

I wonder if much has changed in some parts:
I saw a movie recently reflecting now conditions in sections of Glasgow.....I had extreme difficulty understanding the dialoque.

A soft brogue cam from the end of the bar;
