Lol! It's hard to tell from the pic, but with the top as bad as it is (starting to tatter, and it's supposed to be the same color as the car) it must be the diplomat from Uganda

I've found a rubber pink flamingo, I think I can fit it over the hood ornament. That, the aoooga horn I've picked up, Yankovic on the radio, and black socks with sandals, I'm ready to go!

Nice. All you need is a better hood ornament. Something like this perhaps?

Man, I would love to have that aooooga horn when I see someone talking on a cell phone. It would probably make a better impression coming from a Lincoln than my little hatchback, which only has the meep meep.

Regards,

D-Ray

Lmao! I really, really wanted bullhorns, you guys nailed it. Must be my right leanings

Those are a bit big though! 12-16" would be my max.

D I wouldn't hesitate to upgrade the roadrunner horn, I think folks just ignore them. If I'd have seen this I may have gotten it instead of the other horn:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BRAND...item3caed1489d

although for me the horn is a novelty, it's going on a seperate button. You can probably get any number of horns that will not require wiring, just maybe a bracket or a hole drilled to bolt it to.

There is something called an Ocean Liner Blast Horn out there too!

Hmmm, maybe I should get a different hood ornament, something classy.

Well over 10k trouble free miles out of her now, and just yesterday I ran down to Summit and picked up Energy's poly greaseable sway bar bushings - the very last part on the front end to change. It should tighten it up nicely, handle more like a private yacht than an ocean liner lol.

Still need to change the heater core, find buttheads' vacuum leak and replace the lines, get the starter changed, get the top done, get the glovebox back in, find an intermittent short under the front dash, paint the dash, get the a/c charged, change the timing chain/water pump/harmonic balancer/fan clutch, replace the rear bearings/seals, fix the power locks, replace the heater lockout, install the aoooga horn, replace the back rubber brake line, burn the horrid cheap pioneer rear speakers, other things I can't think of right now....

But that's just minor stuff.

I wish

I also picked up some old school studded snow tires, monster 235s. Haven't seen these for a while.

Those should give you a nice smooth, quiet ride.

Lol yeah, I've been rolling studs for years, it sounds like you're driving on a gravel road, like a crackling kinda. These are different in that they're the old 'high void' style while most new snows just have a more meaty but more normal tread pattern.

But I drive in weather that scares SUVS

You'd probably scare a monster truck with those tires.

I just need a sticker of Calvin peeing on a Cadillac crest now, I'd be all set

I changed the sway bar bushings last night, it's a cheap & easy job and I HIGHLY recommend it, it should make a noticable difference even on a new car. Poly is just so much better than rubber I can't believe they don't use it new.
