No. I just remember the far right bitching about a previous court much like a significant portion of the left does today. I'm really getting tired of the Koch brothers being demonized when the left has similar supporters. People, regardless of their wealth, ought be able to use that money to promote their own, even self-interested, positions. There are enough competing interests that fairness in the outcome can still occur. I do believe that people that are not reasonably cognizant on a broad range of issues ought not be voting. The uninformed or single issue voter does much to undermine the notion of a good, just, and fair government.

you said you did not like the Supreme Court taking away the rights of states.
Well Brown VS Board of Education is the supreme example where the Court took away the rights of states to deny a decent education to black people.

In general the Supreme Court safeguards individual liberty. Individual states want to take them away....as the recent surge of voter suppression indicates. Even the last moronic decision on campaign finance law gives individuals freedom as you point out.

Any time the SC makes a decision it is claiming the right to do so and by default that takes it out of the private sphere even if they see fit to allow it to remain there.
