It's not the migrants who are "animals", all humans are animals according to scientific taxonomic classification; you know...flora, fauna, primates.

I'm trying to remember what else learned in school.
You are engaged in silly semantics with the 'all humans are animals' bit. The word is not being used in any taxonomic sense, like 'Mexicans are animals, not plants.' It's being used as a common idiom meaning 'These particular humans are worthy of hate and have no rights we need respect!'

As for the electoral analysis, it's important to remember that polls are different than elections, and people sometimes respond differently to them, especially this far out. But the part that really bugs me is the RFK Jr boost they show Trump getting. That does indicate that RFK can wedge some votes off of Biden. That effect may be durable, even after voters learn more about RFK. The people going for that aren't deep thinkers, I fear. They don't even realize they'd in effect be voting for Trump.
