The Obama administration has conducted warrantless searches of Americans'

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration has conducted warrantless searches of Americans' communications as part of the National Security Agency's surveillance operations that target foreigners located outside of the U.S., the administration's top intelligence official confirmed in a letter to Congress disclosed Tuesday.

A 2008 law, the FISA Amendments Act, legalized the warrantless surveillance program that the Bush administration created after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. The law permits the government to intercept phone calls and emails without a warrant and on domestic soil, as long as the surveillance target is a noncitizen who lives abroad.<Nothing but outrage from the left when this accrued and until Obama was elected.

In fall 2011, the Obama administration obtained the approval of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court for analysts to search for “U.S. person identifiers” in the repository, enabling them to pull out phone calls and emails involving Americans that had been intercepted because the people involved had been in contact with a foreign target.< Not one peep out of the left at all.

Hints that the rules permitted that activity first appeared in pointed questions by Mr. Wyden. In 2012, when the FISA Amendments Act was up for renewal, he led an unsuccessful legislative push to begin requiring judicial approval to search the communications gathered under the program.<Obama still wants this in place thats why nothing is happening with an investigation.

Still not a peep out of the hypocritical left

And y'know what...if 5 below is going to be so moronic as to bring up hypocrisy...lets go ahead and explore the hypocrisy continuum for a moment.

Because there are way, way, way more lefties who have been openly critical of Barack Obama over a whole list of disappointments than there are right-wingnuts who have ever opened their festering pieholes to bitch about the lies and deceit that led to just short of 7,000 US military casualties (and thousands of American children who will never see one of their parents again) and over a half-million dead Iraqis and Afghanis.

You're a remarkable fool 5 below.

PS - Last month was the first month in 11 fucking years that we did not have the death of a member of the US military in Iraq and Afghanistan. And once again...there was no goddamn reason for Obama to have diddle shitted around for so long with getting us out of either one of those putrid septic fields. When was the last time, like never, that 5 below complained about Bush/Cheney getting us into it.

Supporting Bush is like dumping a bucket of tar on your head.

Then a person thusly drenched joins the forum, and points out a gravy spot on someone's shirt.

There is no evidence of Bush Signing anything to look at American emails & Phone calls.

Google tracks your searches, Nothing to do with all your emails & phone calls.

Facebook What do they do? Try to connect you with people you know.

We know you are in favor of a dictatorship. That you favor tyranny over freedom as long as your in agreement with there actions at the time.

No I did not like the Patriot Act at the time that Bush signed it. Obama has put it into hyperdrive, not to protect us but for political gain and suppression. He has been abel to do it because he does not get the outrage from the media and the left that Bush did.

There is the"Hypocrisy" and the consequences from it.
