Everyday I see comments online by MAGAmorons that our president is weaponizing the DOJ. Projecting as usual of course.

The article, re Prigozhin's comment: "It was not immediately clear how serious Prigozhin was being in his comments, which appeared to have been made somewhat sarcastically."

My read is that the sarcasm note is in fact mockery. Prigozhin is saying 'Behold, I can admit to this, and it will make no difference! Everybody either already knows we do this, or will ignore my saying so.'

A Republican political strategist was convicted of illegally helping a Russian businessman contribute to Donald Trump’s campaign in 2016.

Jesse Benton, 44, was pardoned by Trump in 2020 for a different campaign finance crime, months before he was indicted again on six counts related to facilitating an illegal foreign campaign donation. He was found guilty Thursday on all six counts.
