How many second place primary finishers actually remain relevant in the general election? How relevant is Ted Cruz at the moment? How about Rick Santorum in 2012? About as relevant as the losers of the NFC or AFC championships during Super Bowl week.

Not any more. He's a lobbyist and a Hillary surrogate these days but He was a very effective as the head of the DNC.
