I realize that I swore to honour and uphold the Constitution but I am slowly coming to believe that the governmental system developed by the Framers simply does not work. There is only impeachment to remove someone, I much prefer the no-confidence vote as you don't have to wait four years or whatever is left of the incumbent's term of office.

The massive number of apointments (estimated at 8000 by Brookings) that require 'advise an consent' is assinine. Checks and balances only works when your balance is enough to cover the check.

You're in Rob, you can work to change it

I think the problem with checks and balances is, no one figured out how to keep the branches from working together.

And to think, Ronnie the Magnificent probably couldn't even get the GOP nomination nowadays. He'd probably be considered a RINO.

Obama said he's CHANGE things, remember? But when he renigs on campaign promises - repeatedly - he's suddenly a scummy Chicago machine politician, and it's Reagans fault.
