''But we also know that the very founders that wrote those documents worked tirelessly until slavery was no more in the United States. ... I think it is high time that we recognize the contribution of our forbearers who worked tirelessly -- men like John Quincy Adams, who would not rest until slavery was extinguished in the country.''

Aaaccckkkkk... I wish it was Friday!
I ran over a ladder on my way to work this morning and am worried sick I may have done damage under the car.

I really hate having car problems. Those mechanics can tell I'm at their mercy and I always wonder if they are overcharging me or fixing something that doesn't need fixing.

If you damaged something important I suspect the symptoms would show right away. The brake and fuel lines are delicate. The good news is they are generally tucked into a corner tight enough that a ladder could not strike them.

Tire and/or wheel damage might be likely though. Watch for air loss.

Sorry to hear about your accident.

I'm sure that there is a warning label somewhere on the ladder that says "Do Not Run Over Ladder With Your Car".

I hope nothing was damaged.

Thanks for the encouraging words. I continued on my way to work and everything seemed to be working fine so may be I just got lucky.
The tires didn't run over it, it was sitting lengthwise on the freeway and it went under the car right in the middle. I just put four new tires on it two weeks ago!
