Ferguson grand jury papers full of inconsistencies

Some witnesses said Michael Brown had been shot in the back. Another said he was face-down on the ground when Officer Darren Wilson "finished him off." Still others acknowledged changing their stories to fit published details about the autopsy or admitted that they did not see the shooting at all.

An Associated Press review of thousands of pages of grand jury documents reveals numerous examples of statements made during the shooting investigation that were inconsistent, fabricated or provably wrong. For one, the autopsies ultimately showed Brown was not struck by any bullets in his back.

Prosecutors exposed these inconsistencies before the jurors, which likely influenced their decision not to indict Wilson in Brown's death.

The Grand Jury was apparently astute enough to see through the various fabrications and inconsistencies, but for some here in this forum, not so much.

HA! THIS is inciting, but none of the "white guilt" posts, cop blasting posts, and general dumping on the justice system and the Grand Jury posts didn't move you at all, I'll bet.

In the entire altercation Wilson fired a total of twelve shots,[2] Brown being hit by six,

6 out of 12, at a 6 foot 4, 290 lbs target.

Piss poor shooting, but about average for a street cop.

That chart, along with the forensic evidence, makes it pretty clear that you could never get a conviction "beyond a reasonable doubt." I guess you could have gotten a show trial and an acquittal, but I'm not sure that justice would be served by such a charade. Most of the witnesses on that list would have had so many inconsistencies in their testimony that they would have been useless (e.g., several witnesses have Brown simultaneously running away, facing Wilson and kneeling down while being shot).
