Watched The Lavender Scare on PBS last night. Frightening how much power an executive order has to destroy innocent lives. Repubes have used fear and intimidation to retain power in the past; they are using it now to retain power, and they will use it in the future. "The Other" MUST be intimidated and oppressed; it's how Repubes work. Sad!

Always a threat during my army career, medical corps was less dogmatic about it than combat arms. Some real assholes over there.

Went out and finally watched Once upon a time in Hollywood.

Man did it take me back to a time I called West Coast home. Not so much in the story line, but the time and atmosphere projected.

"If Beale Street Could Talk".
From the James Baldwin Novel.
Highly recommended quality production.

Collateral
Jamie Foxx, Tom Cruise

Good action with great dialogue especially on the oddities of life.

My Week With Marilyn

KENNETH BRANAGH, EDDIE REDMAYNE, MICHELLE WILLIAMS

Based upon the time when Marilyn went England to do a movie with Sir
Laurence Olivier and initially frustrated everyone but in the end
was a delight.

Excellent acting by Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe.
