Time to shut down Wall Street

Well now those "Masters of the Universe" have come up with yet another scheme - they are going to sell futures on Hollywood movies. So now you can bet on upcoming movies. The place is simply one giant casino, nothing there to do with business whatsoever.

Once they started letting people gamble with stuff they did not own they have nothing to distinguish them from Las Vegas.

I'll put $10,000 on the next Pixar movie. But wait, I'd first have to sell off my more profitable porno studio investments. What to do?

I am no investor guru, not even close.
But, it seems to me that wall street is more about trading stocks to earn a profit than it is about investing into a company to earn dividends. Kind of backwards from where it started.

So, implement a new rule. If you buy stocks you must keep them for two years before selling them or you will forfeit all gains!

I am certain this would change how things are done.

Yeh, but if they did that, they would have to pay up when they lost.

Nah, be simpler to level the building.
