Now you did it D

Am I jumping the gun? Do you want another 80s vehicle?

92 was the first year of the rounded body style and featured the 4.6l 'modular' engine. In 95 the front brakes became a bit bigger, and iirc the anti-roll bars did too, in 98 the front brakes went to dual caliper (bigger yet) and an improved rear suspension (watts linkage). That these larger brakes are better I can attest to, but the brakes in my 97 were fine.

In 03 they went through their last real update, going to an all-aluminum front end with coilover shocks, changed to rack and pinion steering, and vented rear disks (vs solid).

I'm certain to be missing something

Are we talking dual caliper as in two separate calipers or dual piston calipers as opposed to "floating" calipers with a single piston per caliper?

Yes indeed my sharp eyed friend, I should've said 'dual piston calipers'. My bad

Here's James Mays' take on it btw:

Hey Pete, Did you catch the post apocalyptic episode of BBC's car show? It had both of us in stitches. Howling at times!

Rounding up that is about .003 percent of all cars in the USA if you divide 700,000 by the wikipedia total of 254,212,610 cars in the country in 2009.

And I am sure not all of those were in your price range anyway

I'll see if I can find a link. One part was where they blacked out all of the windows and relied on GPS solely to navigate to a certain point on the map. Too funny!

Sounds awesome!

Boy, if I was in the market for a car I'd be looking really hard at this:

No affiliation etc
