Thanks, I'll check it out. I got into watching "The Rifleman" while I was beating a server into submission. KGB was a rock station that I used to listen to before I became tired of ads. Do any LA stations still play entire albums?

Heheheh I've been trying to feed Mezz a new sig line but I keep striking out . Thanks, Dave.
KGB has turned far too commercial as BH said. This little upstart local station in Costa Misery is a gem, KOCI 101.5. Community radio at it's best!

Not that I know of BH. It's pretty much a commercial wasteland in la basin.
These characters running KOCI keep the adverts to a minimum and lean towards a good line up of blues and rock pre 1975ish. Patty and I met the director and his wife at the Lion's Club Fish Fry a couple weeks ago. They had a booth set up and we had a blast talking with 'em. This is the radio station that I scored a pair of free tickets for the Doheny Blues Festival from. (Walter Trout did a great set!) I really can't recommend them enough.

We've had a few "community radio stations" pop up lately. A few are rap stations, a couple gospel stations. But one is "Oldtime Radio", featuring music from the 1920s, '30s and '40s.
I've been diggin' on it. It reminds me of my parents. Dorsey Brothers, Glenn Miller, Cab Calloway, Andrews Sisters, etc., etc.....

There is nothing like community radio. We have one here in KC, KKFI. It plays an eclectic mix: blues, rockabilly, jazz, acid rock, labor music. It also carries Pacifica Radio, and has other lefty oriented local programming.
Regards,
D-Ray

We (NYC) once had a station like that.......Jo Stafford, Nat Cole, Billy Eckstine, Doris Day.
Disney blew it up!
Luckily I made some tapes.
