Pete, you really sound like you should audition for Fox. You seem to have admitted that you look to criticize the President on a point where you have no policy disagreement. You probably felt the same way about Clinton when he implemented the welfare to work program.

John, call it what you want. He said in almost the same breath that troops were staying behind for 'counterinsurgency' among other things. But that's apparently not combat, because he needs to say it's not.

So, now you're down to parsing his speeches and objecting to his usage of the term "combat mission". Don't you think that his statement later in the same speech that there would be a residual force there for training and counter-insurgency purposes kind of undermines your argument?

Your argument is built on basically nothing as far as I can tell. I just don't think you can manage a scrap of objectivity where the Obama Administration is concerned.
