He was awesome last night. Ronaldo was awesome today too, but he made an ass of himself when he grabbed a reporter's microphone and threw it in a lake.

Who knows? I find comparisons of sports stars from different generations a pretty pointless exercise, though it helps ESPN pack an hour of sports news into 24 hours. Jordan or LeBron? Brady or Johnny U? Yada, yada, yada.

The relevant (but equally pointless) issue is whether Messi is better than Ronaldo. I'd say the jury's out on this one, even though they face each other frequently in La Liga play.

indeed it was but our goalkeeping on that was horrible

The keeper had all the time in the world to set up, covered that end of the goal and still missed the save

he should have been yanked at the half
