It's out of the ballpark. Heck, that ball is orbiting Alpha Centauri. It's amazing, really. Nearly every day, it's something new from the ZTE deal to his daughter applying for patents in China. It is SO obvious that he is using (Abusing?) the presidency for personal gain in a way that will FAR exceed anything ANY president has done before him. It won't come as any surprise if it's in the multiples of billions by the time it's over.

From the Evangelists to the Whitehouse, the American right has legitimized unbridled, selfish greed and avarice on a colossal scale in the name of Patriotism and the name of Christ.

We truly do live in interesting times.

These people are so corrupt they've managed to legitimize corruption...… But only when they do it.

Well, the adult supervision has spoken:

The prosecution of President Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort will go forward in federal court in Virginia, a judge ruled Tuesday.

U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis III made waves in May when he grilled prosecutors from the special counsel’s office, questioning whether bank and tax fraud crimes Manafort is accused of committing were outside the scope of their investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election.

But Ellis ultimately concluded that special counsel Robert S. Mueller III had the right to bring the case, setting the stage for a trial that is scheduled to begin July 25. If there are no further delays, it will be the first case brought by Mueller’s team to come before a jury.

Don't know why Judge T.S. Ellis is once again asserting that Mueller's target is Trump? That is what Mueller was appointed for to begin with. Sounds like he is fanning the flames or is a closet Trumpkin.

Because it's true. The investigation's purpose is to look into Russians tampering with our election. He's merely pointing out, from the bench I might add, that this investigation is a political witch hunt. Burn Trump!

BTW, I'm from Missouri.

Rosenstein authorized Mueller to investigate Trump-Russia links or coordination and Manafort got snagged in the net.
And I am originally from Bombay (Mumbai) and consider it beneath my status to eat in a Dhaba (street food).

You were saying, Mike?

"U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis III, in Alexandria, Virginia, on Monday denied the former Trump campaign chairman’s request to declare the FBI’s search illegal or suppress the documents. Special Counsel Robert Mueller is using those documents to support claims that Manafort committed bank fraud and tax-related offenses.
….

Jury selection in the Virginia trial is scheduled to start on July 25. His Washington trial is scheduled to start on Sept. 17." Bloomberg

In related news, Judge orders Paul Manafort moved to Alexandria jail, but he asks to stay at remote detention center.

Manafort had filed a motion to postpone his trail, saying that his jail's location makes trial preparation more costly and time-consuming. So, the judge orders him to Alexandria city jail and Manafort balks. I think he's afraid some of the fellas in Alexandria may find him cute (or he aready has a steady boyfriend down in central Virginia).

"Meanwhile, prosecutors are busily preparing for trial, filing motions Tuesday to compel five unnamed witnesses to testify under immunity from prosecution.
All five have refused to testify so as not to incriminate themselves; if Ellis approves these orders, what they say cannot be used against them.
The motions are sealed and the government will not name the witnesses unless they are called to testify.
“The five individuals identified in the motions at issue are third parties who have not been charged in this matter, and who have not been identified publicly with the case,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Uzo Asonye wrote. “The motions would reveal those individuals’ involvement . . . thereby creating the risk of their undue harassment.”" WP

You can almost hear Paulie puckering from way out here on the left coast.

In other news, the trial is staying in Alexandria instead of moving it to a more sympathetic region around Roanoke. Womp..womp!
