Putin rejects FIFA corruption claims

IMHO FIFA is the worst thing that ever happened to soccer, and now this.

It appears overt corruption is as much a trademark for this stuck in stone governing body of soccer as is fear of technology.

FIFA and those other "sports" organizations work just like the Standards bodies in which I used to participate. Each country gets one vote and interestingly enough Canada and the USA did not always agree. However the Europeans also had their own European body in addition to the World body, need I say more . . ? We go, hat in hand, to these twits and tug the forelock and say pretty please and get screwed more often than kissed.

It's no different than the corruption in our own BCS and NCAA (other than being on a global scale). Honestly, I would not have expected otherwise.
