Went digging through the shelves in the basement tonight. Came up with this:
Cat Stevens - Catch a bull at Four
James Brown - Gravity EP
Roy Buchanan - Loading Zone
Jethro Tull - Stand Up
Joni Mitchell - Court and Spark
Ahmad Jamal - Heat Wave
Erroll Garner - Paris Impressions
Robert Cray - Strong Persuader
"" -False Impressions
Stray Cats - Need for Speed
Taj Mahal - Satisfied and Tickled Too
Elton John - Madman Across the Water
We'll see how many I get through this weekend. Catch a Bull and Gravity so far. Gravity was certainly James Brown's deep funk period.
EDIT: Made it through Roy Buchanan, Jethro Tull and Ahmad Jamal before my wife got back from her girls night out.
Regards,
D-Ray
