You really think any cia or military shove their own finger in a detainees ass? Broom handle? Sure. Axe handle? Absolutely. Jumping Cholla? Awesome!!! When they could find one.

Nothing like shoving a juicy jumping Cholla up a few hundred detainee butts, and then 12 years later, don't charge them and send them back home without as much as a, "Sorry about that." Just ask Khalid El-Masri.

Most of the people I've talked to who favored torture by the Government. All said basically the same thing, who cares if we got good intel. They were terrorists and should be killed!

I take it to be they were wanting easy payback, more about retribution and satisfying a sense of getting even. Then getting information, a sick sadistic emotion. Nothing about justice for if this were true there would of been trials on TV by now.

I wonder what they'd say if their sons or daughters were tortured by the Taliban or Iraqi insurgents, particularly if the bad guys tried to justify it to the world by saying it was OK because they got "actionable intelligence."

I suspect they would say the same as McCain is saying. I don't share McCain's political views, but about thirty years ago I read his book about being a pow and it seems that he would know more about this than most other politicians.

I was talking about the CIA spying on them.

I don't think you'll find such absolutes in life.

Whos looking? Fact remains if we're perping torture on detainees, or anybody else, we forfeit our habit of lecturing other countries on their behavior...or invading them when they're disinterested in following our instructions.

We killed a few of them, so there isn't much reason for getting bent when they behead a few Americans.

Once you start down the torture path, there is no safe haven. There are no brakes on the jalopy.

And the sad part is we gained no measurable advantage by doing it...McCain would know.

I guess I don't really have any room to complain.

If I were dictator I'd have some Republicans tortured.
