60 years after Castro's attack on Moncada

Sixty years after the attack on Moncada - the official start of the Cuban revolution - the US has effectively sidelined a fierce critic and political/economic model.

Cuba which once was a thorn in the body of Uncle Sam can now be ignored.
This island which almost caused a nuclear conflagration, humiliated presidents,
and frightened right wingers in this hemisphere and Africa is now regarded
as a curiosity a place with nostalgic Americana.

The present leaders have a dilemma as they watch other once communist nations transform. After 60 years they cannot give it up to the people who they exiled to Miami; they cannot allow the system to fall prey to the criminal economic bandits a la post Soviet Russia.

Yeah after 60 years the US DOLLAR is KING.

Those who have access to dollars are now the big shots. They can open business
, buy expensive goods and get the best girls. Irony of Irony...they are usually the ones with families and connections in Miami.
