Just where is it written that public schooling is superior to home, or private schooling.

Now I will agree that every child should be educated to his level of intelligence, aptitude, and desire. Ultimately, if falls to the individual.

I don't see that any one of them is necessarily better than either of the other two. (Man, it almost hurt to think that one up.)

Except, I firmly believe that many parents are wholly unfit to reproduce, let alone "school" anyone.

Dave

Any one who gives Ritalin to another human being should be taken out behind the barn and soundly thrashed. That crap has more side bad effects that far outweigh any possible 'good' that it might do.

As with all drugs, there is to much money to be made to make distribution responsible.

Ritalin is particularly insidious because it targets children and is the new millennium gateway drug.

It causes more personality changes than anything, it should never have been approved in the first place.

I'm not cool on modifying a childs behavior with drugs except in the most extreme case.

Face it, everyone has a screw loose somewhere...except for me.

All of mine are loose.

As an adult I've had people try to modify my behaviour with drugs. Namely Prozac. But, I absolutely refuse. I would rather actively work to control my depression/anger issues than become a drugged up zombie.

I tried Valium when I was younger. Worked pretty good for awhile.

But when it quit working I was ten times more rabid.

Never again.
