Why You Should Want to Pay Higher Taxes

Interesting article about taxes:

There is some divisive language here, but over all it's an interesting read.

These damn intellectual elites and their making of arguments contrary to conventional wisdom. It's so damn confusing. We want simple answers, dammit.

I realize this is a view only a stoopid knuckledragger such as my self could develop...but I think we have plenty of government as is.

Even worse than that, I think we could do with a lot less.

True enough. I think the issue is the desired level of progressiveness to the tax rates.

Sorry Chas, have to admit I got carried away there for a bit - ya knuckledragger. Thing is though, even if we did get less government (again, wondering where exactly we would cut) we'd still need higher taxes to pay off the debt we've built up. And we aren't going to get higher taxes either. I'm having a hard time seeing how this gets fixed.

That makes two of us.

This should have been fixed before it ever got this bad. And anyone who paid any attention at all knew it.

Well, it's water under the bridge now.

But I have faith in the money masters, they'll figure out a way to kick the can down the road for awhile longer, and pay themselves well for doing so.

They well know that you have to keep people vested in the game. When the amount of people who have nothing left to lose reaches critical mass, it will be torches and pitchforks time.

Then again, the central bankers have peen playing this game for centuries, and I don't know that they've ever really lost.

Just some passing thoughts.

Chas

I have no desire to pay more taxes. I would like to keep all of my money. I just happen to think it's never going to happen. Regardless of who we vote for. Even if the Tea Partiers were to take over. They would prolly cut taxes initially, and then eventually find themselves raising them again. Kinda like the founding fathers did.
