The reach of disturbances that once remained local now can ripple across continents rapidly and have effects on what once were insulated markets. Scared? No, but wary of any economic disturbances from afar.

There are cycles, both short term and long, aren't there? Nature is full of them, everywhere you look by my estimation.

The U.S. is the mightiest by far and does make its wishes known. But being the worlds police will have it's negative effects. Time to let more countries step up and quit relying on the U.S. to do it all.

I for one thought the way Libya was handled was a step in the right direction. Let a few other countries get some skin in the game. Only time will tell how well it worked.
