Murdoch's Bid for Sky TV in Doubt due to FoxNews Problems

Britain is putting Rupert Murdoch's dream takeover on hold because of concerns over broadcasting standards at Fox News.

U.K. culture secretary Karen Bradley said Tuesday that she intends to order an extensive review of 21st Century Fox's (FOX) $15 billion planned takeover of Sky TV because of concerns over "genuine commitment to broadcasting standards" and the increased influence it would give the Murdoch family over British media.

So the country with the world's least biased, most trusted broadcast news organization, the BBC, doesn't trust Fox "News". I wonder why? Lol.

Is Limbaugh's EIB network rebroadcast in the UK?
Google could not give me an answer.
Every time I encounter EIB and what the acronym is for, I get sick in my stomach.

On the Brit board I look in on, BBC gets lots of lumps for pro-Tory bias in recent years. Nonetheless, safe to say they're no Fox.

Rebekah Brooks is back – to make sure Murdoch becomes even more dominant
Quote:
Brooks was editor of the News of the World in 2002 when it hacked into the phone of the murdered schoolgirl Milly Dowler. Brooks was chief executive when its parent company, News International, misled MPs about hacking and corruption.
Not exactly a glowing recommendation for Murdoch in the UK.

You'd think her transgressions would be enough to keep that wicked witch unemployed for quite a while. She'd fit in perfectly with Fox, however.
