The Chinese tube gear is not associated/connected with a speaker(person).

I agree with sheltiedave. They will ask for it, but they won't like it when they get it.

I think you both underestimate the quiet resolve of the people in the hinterland in this time.

I think you're overestimating their foresight.

Perhaps a bit hysterical, but worth reading.

We're in a pickle, Fellas. The only hope we have for a hobbling of this president is when, or if blue collar folks in the Midwest finally realize they've been had. So far, this is not quite happening.

When I brought up the specter of inflation* with friends and coworkers in regards to Trumps trade policies, I was laughed at. It seems these people are suddenly willing to pay substantially higher prices if it means success for Trumps plan.

(* My theory being that a 35% re-importation tariff and a 20% tariff on imported goods can't possibly do anything but drive up prices. Even if this does make it more economically favorable to return manufacturing to the United States, the higher cost of doing so will have a substantial inflationary effect.)

Don't get me wrong, I would like to see manufacturing return. I'm just wondering how happy Trumps supporters will really be when the cost of all of this reaches them at checkout...................
Now we know why we need to stay in school.

I agree with you on this, they would forgo buying certain things (like Chinese tube gear ) in order to stay within their means and this in turn would affect the economy. But when the economy contracts and they start losing their jobs, would they then blame it on Trump? Not if he can help it. So in the end they get screwed and would not know what happened nor know who to blame. Trump would have run another real life scam.

Add to that the resolve of the true left that has had it with the fake left Democrats. I seem to be the only one on this site, but on other sites there are many of us that are perfectly willing to turn the country over to Trump rather than support the phoney left Democrats.

They have realized that they have been had. By the fucking Democrats. That's why they voted for Trump.

Nonsense. The independents may have voted for Trump but a lot of Democrats stayed home instead of voting. Hillary lost out on the black, Hispanic and the millennial voting blocks.
