Germs getting increasingly smarter
According to Dr. Margret Chan, WHO Director General: common ailments might soon be incurable, because microbes have been increasingly more able to adapt and survive antibiotics.

My view: There is an inbuilt code in nature to try preserve and protect any and all populations. Man has no more privilege than the others.

We're overpopulated. Nature will handle it.
I'm surprised it already hasn't.

just making a wild guess here, but, I'd say it would take an individual with more developed powers of observation and deduction than yourself to even render an informed opinion on this (and many other matters), one way or another.
nothing personal, as I don't know you. I'm just basing my remark on the profoundly ignorant and bigoted posts of yours that I've read. I'm actually quite amazed that you think anyone takes you seriously in the least.

We have a societal obligation to complete the entire course of antibiotics whenever they are prescribed. Failing to complete a course gives the stronger, more resistant germs a chance to survive, and thereby puts others at risk.

That D-Ray,
And the enormous amounts of unused antibiotics that are dumped into the toilets every year, ending up in our water supplies causing us to become immune to the antibiotics and giving the germs the opportunity to develop immunity to them.
It also doesn't help, when you insist that a doctor treat you with antibiotics, when you have a cold or the flu, as they are viral infections that antibiotics have no effect on them. Only to increase your immunity to them.

Good points. And it's amazing how many people don't know - or ignore those facts.
Regards,
D-Ray

Hey, I wonder if that's in the Healthcare legislation. We could create a whole new agency, the American Antibiotic Police or AAP. Good government jobs making sure that individuals take the full course of treatment.
Actually, it has been getting worse on the antibiotic front for multiple decades. Some microbes are now immune to almost all of our arsenal. Nosocomial diseases have all markedly increased. I can't really blame the microbes for trying to pepetuate their gene pool. The added pressure caused by rapid travel and transfer of goods, together with people, all add to the problem. The giddy days of WHO envisioning a communicable disease free world has vanished.

The population growth has gotten way out of hand. What is it? 6, or is it 7 billion already? This is why we have to make sure every sperm has a clear unobstructed path to the eggs, and that every fertilized egg becomes another human being. So we can send more of them off to die in some sweltering shithole in the name of securing a cheap suppl.....Oh, my bad, "Spreading Democracy and Freedom".
