Nobody I knew voted for Trump so that Pence would be president. Maybe a few uniparty members felt that way.

I dont care for Pence, would have been fine with Kasich, but if anything happened to remove Trump, I think Pence could win a reelection for the 'Pubs against Biden with independents and undecided, depending.

FWIW, I've actually discussed that election with her personally. A 40 minute conversation. McCain had no intention of winning that election. That's why he picked her.
