While I find any pension for members of Congress that are doing everything they can to eliminate pensions for the commoners disgusting, members of Congress don't get a million dollar pension after serving one year. They participate in the same pension plan all Federal workers participate in. They do vest in the plan faster because of the nature of the job. I believe it takes six years. That guarantees Senators will get a pension, but people like that former, one term, House member crazy Allen West will not get a pension other than his sweet military pension he does not deserve.
