You got all butt-hurt about Kathy Griffin's obviously fake & comic depiction of the Lying Dotard's severed head, but excuse Kilmeade's photoshopped picture as a joke when it was not presented as such (he waited several days to post an apology claiming it was done in jest after Judge Reinhart received multiple death threats from MAGAMorons and his synagogue was forced to cancel services.)
Speaking of "cannot tell the difference": Kilmeade's was presented as obvious gag. Griffin's was basically a deranged effort to be provocative. It was not an attempt at comedy. It was from a photo shoot with a photographer who has a reputation for provocative photos. She apologized for it, but later recanted her apology. Different.

And again, if you think Griffin's photo is comedic, you're worse off than I thought.

Griffin recanted. She's still classless.

It wasn't obvious to the Washington Examiner, a reflexively pro-Trump publication. Indeed, looking at the video does not reveal any attempt at humor on the #1 show on the #1 cable news network.

The key difference here is that exactly nobody thought Griffin murdered (or advocated the murder of) Trump whereas Kilmeade's photoshopped picture was "another look at the judge" who also happened to "vote for Obama," the intent of which was to increase threats of wingnut violence against the judge, just as Trump's failure to redact the FBI agents' names on the warrant was. Implicit threats of violence are a feature of Trumpism, not a bug.

In a similar vein, here's your boy Kilmeade saying that increased funding for the IRS is intended to build "Joe Biden's new army" that will "hunt down and kill middle class taxpayers that don't pay enough." This also is not intended as a joke. It's intended to rile up the rubes and portray to them government law/tax enforcement as murderous thugs.

You may find it tasteless, but it was an artistic expression of her (well-founded) contempt for Trump and not a threat, whereas Kilmeade's picture was part of a larger effort by Trump and his minions to foster violent threats against the judge and the FBI agents involved with the search of MAL (resulting in an attack on an FBI office in Cincinnati).

Come on man, you are equating (and no one is buying it unless you go on Liars Social ) a tasteless act versus a mindless commentary with a dangerous graphic. Kathy may have been tasteless and is a well known comedian, Trump is not a favorite of comedians. Kilmeade is a mindless an obnoxious flame thrower and who got the death threats? Trump? No. Ms. Griffin? Yes. The Judge (not going to repeat his name)? Yes.

Recanted???
A comedy skit is like a sworn testimony?

And you are utterly clueless, as you prove again and again.

Retracted is the correct word, not recanted. She shouldn't have retracted her apology though. I had forgotten the caption of the picture was "there was blood coming out of his eyes, blood coming out of his ... wherever" in reference to an exchange between Trump and then–Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly during the presidential primary season. That's indeed a well-deserved humorous barb for which she needn't have apologized. He deserved much stronger criticism than that.

Oh no, no one would ever think that, 'cuz the celebrity crown would never advocate violence against the Prez...

I suspect this is in reference to the recent IRS job postings, that originally stated that IRS agents must carry firearms and "be willing to use deadly force".

Apparently you all need language lessons too:

Recant: to announce in public that your past beliefs or statements were wrong and that you no longer agree with them.

https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/...english/recant

Retract is also a synonym of recant.

Yup, you're worse off than I thought.

Question - if it was so damn funny, why did CNN fire her, and issue the statement: “We found what [Griffin] did disgusting and offensive. We are pleased to see she has apologized and asked that the photos be taken down." Why did Anderson Cooper specifically call her Trump photo / video repugnant? Why did Griffin claim that all her lefty friends - including folks like Chelsea Clinton - told her it was horrid? Why did a number of venues immediately cancel her scheduled performances and issue refunds?

Because no one, with the exception of you guys apparently, found it funny. Nor did she intend it as a joke. She intended it to be as shocking as possible.

https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/ne...shoot-1008645/

" image, published Tuesday by TMZ, is from a new project by controversial photographer Tyler Shields, who routinely shoots A-list celebrities in shocking poses, including Lindsay Lohan, Hayden Panettiere, Emma Roberts, Demi Lovato and many more for his 2013 book The Dirty Side of Glamour."

She knew exactly what she was doing, and who she was doing it with. She simply misjudged the blowback that she'd get.

"Following intense online backlash, Griffin apologized for the images, despite initially defending them. “I sincerely apologize,” she said in a video on Twitter. “I went way too far. The image is too disturbing. I understand how it offends people, it wasn’t funny, I get it.”"
