All in all, was it a good show?

I went for the music and memories it brings back from my youth. In that
regard it was fantastic. I got a nose bleed ticket by default from someone
that could not make it. 50 bucks, less than face value. If given a choice
I would rather pay the bigger bucks for a ticket on the floor. There was no
jumbo tron so it was tough to keep track of him as it was pretty dark through
a lot of it.

Hi Don, Love Santana's music. I had an art teacher in jr. high who insisited that we bring albums to class. I volunteered to grab a turntable from the AV dept and we all enjoyed some great Santana amongst other bands. 1970 was a great year at school, not so good elsewhere but that's fodder for another thread.

It was '73-74, Chemistry II in high school. I had one of the early boomboxes, a cassette player with detachable speakers. We played tapes whenever we had lab work to do. A couple of the big hits were ELP's Pictures at an Exhibition (ELP's version, anyway - not meaning to steal Mussorgsky's thunder) and Tomita's version of that and of Snowflakes are Dancing. Also sneaked in some Allman Brothers and Who. This was a teacher who was really effective at communicating the subject matter, but did not get all uptight about decorum.

Regards,

D-Ray

Behind the Sun~Clapton

See What Love Can Do? I did listen to some Nora Jones yesterday in the car just in case y'all think that all I listen to is acid rock.

Since we're on a vintage rock day:

The Lovin' Spoonful Greatest Hits 2000
Led Zeppelin I 1969
Led Zeppelin II 1969

BH, Can't sleep either? I don't know if your 'puter is hooked up to your stereo but if it is give KOCI 101.5 a try. I know it won't work over the air in your case because there is a Sandy Eggo station that steps all over it even up here. KGB is it's call sign I think.
