Think I'll spin up 'The Traveling Wilburys' this evening and remember the mayor of Bridge City in 'The Postman'.

Fair winds and following seas, Tom.

This might be like something out of Monty Python: "I'm not dead yet."

http://www.detroitnews.com/story/ent...zed/106251002/

Tom Petty was taken to UCLA Medical Center for a cardiac incident Sunday night, law enforcement has confirmed to The Times, but as of 5 p.m. Monday there was no official confirmation that the 66-year-old rock musician had died.

Great news if true.

Mebbe not.
Reported found unconscious and unresponsive at home, hospitalized with no detectable brain activity.
Possible scenario, heart attack with oxygen starvation and brain dead, taken off life support. Running literally on empty, death inevitable.

Thank you.
I have 'The Traveling Wilburys' CD somewhere. Need to find it.
And although not critically acclaimed, I always love 'The Postman'. Need to watch it again.

"NEW YORK — Tom Petty’s family says his death last year was due to an accidental drug overdose.

The statement was posted moments before the Los Angeles coroner’s office issued its official findings, which confirmed that Petty had a variety of medications, including fentanyl and oxycodone in his system.

They say Petty suffered from emphysema, a fractured hip and knee problems that caused him pain but he was still committed to touring.
He had just wrapped up a tour a few days before he died in October at age 66." WP
