Every since the result of the Brexit referendum efforts have been made to deny it.

It is good to hear Theresa May, the likely next Prime Minister, give a strong NO to these efforts.

1) There will be no attempt to stay in the EU.

2) Britain wants to forge a new roll for itself in the world.

Bravo to her.

I think 'Brexit means Brexit' is tactical; May favored Remain. I think it's not coincidence that all the Brexiters have vanished from her path. I look for a way to be found to finesse the thing to protect the big money Tories, who like both stable markets and free movement of labor. This while keeping as much form of Brexit as possible, to keep the UKIP from gaining strength.

I usually do not agree with Summers but he has gotten this right. The EU was fine for the wealthy and piss poor for everyone else.
